Save The Bay Gets $800
New Brunswick Day was a great day in St. Andrews with the Ross Memorial Museum and Sheriff Andrews House joining forces to raise money and awareness of the threat of LNG to Passamaquoddy Bay.
In her monthly report to town council this month, director Margot Magee Sackett said over $800 was raised for Save Passamaquoddy Bay/Canada that day with two receptions one for lunch and the other for dessert with a craft for kids at the museum.
Music by The Right Connection and the Valley Gospel Singers made both events even more special, she said, and all this took place after the very successful "Get in the Picture" event on the wharf following the presentation of New Brunswick Day awards.
She noted that summer guides Shelley Guzik and Lisa Todd, whose positions were funded through the province, have now completed their work terms and were a great help at the museum.
