Save Passamaquoddy Bay asked FERC officials if Adolf Hitler, Charles Manson, or Idi Amin (and by extension, Osama bin Laden) were to file with FERC for an LNG terminal application, would that affect FERC's approval of the application.

We asked the question at public meetings, each time of a different FERC official. The FERC representatives consistently answered that those applicants would have no difficulty in obtaining FERC approval, provided that they followed FERC's guidelines.
