Filed By: Save Passamaquoddy Bay
Filed Date: 10/11/2011
Accession No: 20111011-5202
Description: Save Passamaquoddy Bay requests FERC dismiss Calais LNG applications under CP10-32.

Summary: Calais LNG lost its financial backing on July 21, 2010, and its terminal project site in October 31, 2010. The company abandoned its offices in 2011. Calais LNG has made no progress in reacquiring financial capacity or its project site in well over one year.

Since FERC dismissed Quoddy Bay LNG after a year of failing to fulfill FERC requirements, and since it has been well over a year since Calais LNG has lost the capacity to fulfill FERC permitting requirements, Save Passamaquoddy Bay requests that FERC dismiss Calais LNG from permitting without prejudice.

Oct 24

Filed By: CALAIS PIPELINE COMPANY, LLC
CALAIS LNG PROJECT COMPANY, LLC

Filed Date: 10/24/2011
Accession No: 20111024-0021
Description: Calais LNG et al submits letter providing an update of development activity under CP10-31 et al.

Summary: Calais LNG's Arthur Gelber claims to have been negotiating with Atlantic Basin LNG suppliers, and to have been in discussions with the Maritimes & Northeast Pipeline regarding shipping Calais LNG's natural gas.

In reality, no LNG supplier will make any commitments to a proposed LNG import terminal — especially one that has no financial capacity and no project site. The Maritimes & Northeast Pipeline will not take Calais LNG seriously for the same reasons.

In no way in this filing does Calais LNG claim to have remedied its lack of financial capacity or lack of project site.

Oct 25

Filed By: Save Passamaquoddy Bay
Filed Date: 10/25/2011
Accession No: 20111025-5071
Description: Save Passamaquoddy Bay responds to Calais LNG's October 24 comment filing, and again requests FERC dismiss Calais LNG's applications for lack of financial capacity and title, right, or interest in a viable project site for over one year under CP10-32.

Summary: Calais LNG's Oct 24 filing does nothing to cure the applicant's lack of financial capacity and lack of a viable terminal site. Save Passamaquoddy Bay again asks FERC to dismiss Calais LNG's 1-year and 3-months delinquent application.
