Filed By: Individual No Affiliation [Ms. Jody McCaffree]
Filed Date: 2/22/2013
Accession No: 20130222-5151
Description: Comment of Jody McCaffree under AD13-4, et. al.

Summary: Jody McCaffree of North Bend, Oregon (the area of the proposed Jordan Cove LNG terminal — first proposing an import terminal, now proposing an import and export terminal) has commented on a proposed Rules Change — FERC LNG Hazard Report "Recommended Parameters for Solid Flame Models for Land Based Liquefied Natural Gas Spills"- Examining potential changes to LNGFIRE3. Docket No. AD13-4-000. She copied her comments to the Downeast LNG docket CP07-52.

In her comment, Ms. McCaffree properly claims that the 30 days provided for the public to comment is insufficient time. She advocates that FERC consult with a broad spectrum of unbiased experts, including:

  • Sandia National Laboratories
  • American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE)
  • Dr. Jerry A. Havens
  • Dr. James A. Fay

Dr. James Venart's expert input is essential to this issue, as well.
